* As firms unveila seven new products
Poised to increase insurance awareness and penetration in the country, top underwriter Linkage Assurance Plc on Monday launched seven new products into the retail segment of the market.
Speaking at the launch, the Acting Managing Director/ CEO, Pius Apere said the unique products were developed through well conducted research which centered on the needs of the public.
He said the growth of the insurance industry can only be realized through the retail business.
According to him this is so because the brokerage market have been saturated, adding that Linkage is repositioning itself to tap into the opportunities open in the retail market.
The Linkage boss noted that clients want to remain with firms and products that add value to their lives, adding that products in insurance industry must meet the needs of their clients.
He further said that lapses in the life insurance business can easily be recognised unlike the general business.
He further said the firm would leverage all necessary platforms to convey the products to the public.
The products lunched are: Linkage Purple Motor Plan, Linkage Third Party Plus, Linkage Estate Insurance Plan, Linkage Shop Insurance Cover, Linkage Citadel Shield Plan, Linkage Event Insurance Xclusive and Linkage SME Comprehensive Plan.
